ISO 8583 Maintenance Agency Secretariat
Overview
A number of International Standards developed by ISO technical committees require, with a view to their updating or implementation, a competent body which has the requisite infrastructure for ensuring the effective use of these international agreements. These bodies are designated by ISO to serve as maintenance agencies.
Each of these bodies has a secretariat that provides clerical support. ASC X9 is the secretariat for the ISO 8583 Maintenance Agency.
