X9 Committee Structure
A leader in worldwide standards for the Financial Services Industry
The Accredited Standards Committee X9 (“X9”) is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (“ANSI”) to develop and maintain open consensus standards for the financial services industry in the United States. ANSI has further assigned to X9 the responsibility for operating the United States Technical Advisory Group (“TAG”) to the international standards body ISO TC68 (Financial Services) and ISO TC322 (Sustainable Finance). Additionally, X9 provides the chair of TC68 and the secretariat function. TC68 develops international open consensus standards for the worldwide financial services industry.
X9 maintains approximately one hundred standards and related documents and has over one hundred member companies. New work items are started periodically.
