US Economic Outlook Seminar Registration

X9’s next seminar will be a little different from the technology based seminars we have been having.  X9 has invited Terry J. Fitzgerald to give a presentation on the US Economic Outlook.  Terry is a vice president and senior economist in the Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Terry oversees the activities of the Economic Analysis and Forecasting Department, which conducts policy-oriented research and produces a wide range of economic and policy analysis for the Bank president and senior management, the board of directors, and the Federal Reserve System. Terry’s research focuses on the national economy and current policy issues. His work has appeared in professional journals and in publications of the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago, Cleveland, and Minneapolis.

Abstract:
The presentation will provide background on the role of the Federal Reserve in the U.S. economy, followed by a discussion of recent economic developments and the outlook for the U.S. economy.  Terry will also discuss near-term and longer-term risks and challenges to the outlook.
