Category A membership provides an organization with many opportunities. Category A members may belong to and participate in multiple subcommittees and working groups. Members in this category also have access to the entire X9 collection of standards and technical reports free of charge and the rights to develop and vote on X9 policies. Category A members may:
- represent the U.S. internationally
- serve as an X9 subcommittee chairman
- participate on the Board of Directors and vote on business and governance related items
- serve on the X9 Consensus Body and vote on standards related items
- join any or all of X9’s committees or work groups
- be involved in the X9 PKI governance work
- volunteer to participate with X9 liaison groups
