ASC X9 Announces ANSI Award to Todd Arnold
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – April 26, 2021
The Accredited Standards Committee X9 Inc. (X9) is pleased to announce that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has awarded a 2020/2021 Meritorious Service Award to Todd Arnold for his years of dedicated service to X9. The ANSI Meritorious Service Awards are presented to individuals or groups who have a record of significant contribution to voluntary standardization and who have demonstrated outstanding service in enabling ANSI to attain the objectives for which it was founded.
Arnold is employed by IBM as a Senior Technical Staff Member. He has actively participated in X9 for over 25 years on a number of different projects and work groups. During his time with X9, Todd has worked on 47 X9 standards and has been active in the X9F Information Security subcommittee, and its X9F1 Cryptographic Tools, X9F4 Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Solutions, the X9F5 Financial PKI, and the X9F6 Cardholder Authentication workgroups.
“His personal and professional contributions have been outstanding,” said Jeff Stapleton, Chair of the X9F4 Work Group. “Members like Todd are the backbone of standards organizations like X9 and their contributions deserve recognition,” said Steve Stevens, Executive Director of X9. The Award will be presented at the 2020-2021 ANSI Awards Ceremony on October 27, 2021 in Washington, DC (COVID-19 Permitting).
Arnold will be retiring from IBM later this year, so this is a fitting end to his career at X9 and we wish him the best. X9 would also like to thank Ralph Poore, Richard Kisley and Jeff Stapleton for their help working with X9 and ANSI on this award.
