The X9 Board of Directors (“Board”) is responsible for overseeing the general operations of X9 both as a non-profit corporation (the business side) and as an ANSI accredited standards setting body (the standards side). All category A member companies are allowed to appoint a single primary representative, and one alternate, to the X9 Board of Directors. The representatives shall cast votes on Board ballots for their company.

The X9 Consensus Body reports to the X9 Board of Directors and has been empowered by the Board to act on standards related issues such as approval of standards and other X9 documents. The X9 Consensus Body further has oversight of the different X9 groups tasked with development or support of standards. The representatives to the Board also act as representatives to the X9 Consensus Body.
Both groups meet twice a year in back-to-back meetings, once in the spring and once in the fall. The X9 Consensus Body meeting is general held first followed by the Board meeting. This is to allow the Board to consider any request recommended by the X9 Consensus Body at their meeting.

The Fall 2024 meeting will be held on October 29-30, 2024. All ASC X9 Category A members are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend please complete the registration form below.
